After completing my 7-year Bachelor of Architecture Degree I have vast experience as a Professional Architect working for various firms in South Africa. I worked on Hotels, Airports, Office Blocks, Schools, Residences, Residential Developments, Additions and Alterations, Interior Design Layouts, Joinery Shop Drawings, Working with all related Professionals and Specialists, Project Management, Contract Administration, Site Supervision and inspection.

With all the experience garnered I opened my own practice in the 1990s “CHARLES MARINIER ARCHITECTS” in Johannesburg.

I started work in London in 2020 with my first project as a consulting Architect for the complete redesign and refurbishment for a Mews house in Marylebone. I am currently consulting on a 150sqm flat in Holland Park.
 
 
 
I am now residing in London and can offer the following services:

• I use AutoCAD, Sketch UP and V Ray and I can create beautiful immersive 2D and 3D designs that allow you to visualise projects and make changes at conception before work is actually started.
• Produce plumbing layouts, lighting design proposals, façade design proposals, full internal layouts including redesign of kitchens and bathrooms. I can investigate all council and borough regulations and check listed buildings restrictions and party wall requirements before any proposals are implemented.
• Carry out inspections of existing problem areas and advise on proposals for rectifications.
• Design interior layouts and details.
• Measure existing flats and houses and produce accurate “as built drawings”
• Forward work for tenders and negotiate and check contractor’s previous works and references before contract signing.
• Work on small and large projects.
• I am an Associate member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
